Wayne Rooney put the team on his back and brought Man U back from a 2-0 deficit by scoring a hat trick on Saturday. Apparently, after scoring the last goal to put them up 3-2, he had a few choice words during his celebration with his teammates which were overheard by cameras. He was suspended today for 2 games by FA.
Seriously? This guy is the face of the league and you suspend him because he showed emotion? No wonder soccer hasn't taken off in the United States. Imagine if NBA, NFL, or MLB players were suspended for swearing.
